As the years pass, spacequakes start recurring, and the world has to cope with this unexplained disaster as it claims millions of lives every time. With scientists unable to decipher its origins, spacequakes are written off as inexplicable natural phenomena. This explosion is termed a “spacequake”, and scientists are baffled by it. 30 years prior to the events of the show, a massive explosion decimates East Asia, leaving approximately 150 million people dead in its wake.
